Nokia X5 launched: Full specs, features, expected Nepali price and everything

The Nokia X5 is finally official and it is everything that weeks of rumours, renders and reports have told us. The latest affordable phone from HMD Global is the second in the Nokia X-series this year following the Nokia X6. It is also the second Nokia phone to adopt the notch. The Nokia X5 has been announced for China as of now, and there is no word yet on whether the device will see a global launch as the Nokia 5.1 Plus.
The Nokia X5 looks similar to the Nokia X6 brings a notch on the top and a narrow chin for an edge-to-edge display. It also brings an all-glass design, dual cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor much like the Nokia X6. However, this is a cheaper model, which means some of the hardware will fall a few notches below what you get with the Nokia X6. Here's a quick look at the full specs.

NOKIA X5 FEATURES

-- Like the Nokia X6, the Nokia X5 highlights a premium design language at an affordable price. This is the second Nokia phone with a notch and this allows for a larger display in a compact form back. Thanks to the notch and a narrow chin, the Nokia X5 offers a 84 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
-- The Nokia X5 also sees glass on both the front and back that adds to its premium looks. The reflective glass panel will be offered in Black, Blue and White colours.

The MediaTek Helio P60 chipset is based on a 12nm process, which the company says will offer high performance while consuming lesser power. The Helio P60 SoC also comes with built-in AI chip and will also deliver good GPU performance while playing games.
-- The Nokia X5 runs the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The Chinese variant will get some custom overlay but what you get is a mostly stock Android with fewer pre-installed apps. If the phone launches outside the country, it will be part of the Android One program. The company also said that the Nokia X5 will be upgradeable to Android P.

NOKIA X5 EXPECTED INDIA PRICE

The Nokia X5 has been priced at CNY 999 (approx Rs 17000) for the 3GB + 32GB variant and CNY 1,399 (approx Rs 24,300) for the high-end variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This makes it fall below the Nokia X6 which starts at CNY 1,299 and goes up to CNY 1,699.
There is no word yet on whether the Nokia X5 will launch in Nepal. I
