Vivo X23 Specifications, Images Spotted in Leaks

A few days back, an alleged successor to the Vivo X21 had been certified by 3C in China. While Vivo hasn't confirmed anything officially yet, the company’s Jovi voice assistant claims the X23 will be launched in China on August 20th. Just days before the rumored launch date, an alleged spec sheet of the upcoming smartphone has surfaced on Weibo.

Vivo X23: Alleged Spec Sheet Leaked Online

The alleged Vivo X23 spec sheet claims the smartphone will feature a 6.4-inch sized display, slightly bigger compared to the 6.28-inch display size of its predecessor. As suggested by a recently leaked image of the upcoming smartphone, the X23 will feature a NEX-like design with no notch at the top. Moving on, the spec sheet suggests the base version of the Vivo X23 will not have an in-display fingerprint sensor. Instead, the base version is likely to come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, Vivo X23 will be running on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 670 octa-core processor, which was made official by the chipmaker a few days back. The new Snapdragon 670 chipset is built on a 10nm process and is claimed to offer 15% higher CPU performance and up to 25% faster GPU performance when compared to the Snapdragon 660 chipset, which happens to power the Vivo X21. Apart from the performance improvements, the chipset also includes a Hexagon 685 DSP, Spectra 250 Dual-camera ISP, and Qualcomm AI Engine that delivers up to 1.8 times faster AI performance compared to the Snapdragon 660.

In the memory department, the X23 is said to include 8GB of RAM in the base variant. Whether or not this means the top-end configuration ships with 10GB of RAM, remains to be seen. The higher-end version will include both an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as 3D facial recognition. In addition to unlocking the smartphone, users will be able to authorize payments as well using facial recognition on the X23. The leaked spec sheet also reveals the smartphone will include a dedicated DAC for impressive audio quality. This is not surprising, though, as audio quality is one of the main focus areas for Vivo.
